Sometimes it is not the news story itself but information surrounding the news story that can be most interesting. The Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has apparently again caused hypocritical international outcry by repeating his view that the Holocaust was a myth. President Ahmadinejad is reported to have said, “They have fabricated a legend under the name Massacre of the Jews, and they hold it higher than God himself, religion itself and the prophets themselves.” He went on to say, “If somebody in their country were to deny the existence of God nobody would say anything, but if somebody denies the myth of the Massacre of Jews, the Zionist loudspeakers and governments in the pay of Zionism will start to scream.”
First let me state my position on the Holocaust so I will not also find myself labeled as being anti-Semitic. Unless some extraordinarily complex, sophisticated, and wide ranging conspiracy was concocted at the end of World War Two it seems to me that there is little doubt that millions of Jewish people (along with at least an equal number of gypsies, criminals, and other so-called ‘social undesirables’) were exterminated, mainly by the German Nazis. This ghastly horror is certainly among the most sickening atrocities committed in modern times. Still to me, and I am sure to many pious Muslims, it is a clearly and significantly greater wrong to publicly claim that God does not exist than to claim the Holocaust never occurred.
So from this news story we can see how blind much of the world can be when presented with an very important truth that they have clearly been unaware of, or at least unwilling to acknowledge. Regardless of whether or not some people find it upsetting to hear the reality of the Holocaust being denied, in a right thinking world it would be clear that the public denial of the existence of God is a crime against society of such a magnitude that Holocaust denial pales into insignificance by comparison. Although I believe it is likely President Ahmadinejad was incorrect in his assessment of the facts concerning the Holocaust, he is one of the very few public figures who has ever had the insight to see beyond the veil shaitan has placed across the eyes and minds of so many in today’s world and correctly perceive how incredibly harmful and shameful the resigned acceptance of the denial of God’s existence is to world society.
My dear Muslim brothers and sisters, find truth wherever it exists, regardless of the source. Shaitan and his secular agents will do all within their power to confuse your judgment so that you will be able to permit even the most obvious treacherous wrongs to take place all around you while the natural disgust of your fitrah does not rise in alarm to guide you to righteous indignation and virtuous corrective action. Now is the moment all Muslims must give far more consideration to their obligation to strive in the Way of Allah.
